The dead shall rise first and those who remain alive will be caught up. in chapter 12 of revelation, there are two parts: the sign of Virgo and the birth and the second part, the devil who makes war in heaven and is defeated. when the devil is cast to the earth, the church would be caught up. those who were asleep during this time would be left to experience the tribulation. read the seven seals of revelation: the fifth seal! the 144,000 of the 12 tribes of Israel will be here but marked with God. others who were left will come to be saved as that second chance before the end. these are the martyrs that revelation speaks about.
